HOUSTON’S PLACE TO LEARN
WWW.CHABADTEXAS.ORGChabad Lubavitch Center has launched a web site packed with information about local Chabad facilities including shul, school, and mikva as well valuable resources related to upcoming holidays and Jewish learning.
The site, www.chabadtexas.org, was launched in early August.
With Rosh HaShana, Yom Kippur, and Sukkos just around the bend, site visitors can learn about laws and customs related to the High Holidays, and delve a little deeper with insights into these holy days.
The site offers divrei Torah about the weekly parsha; it also contains an online magazine and a thought for the day. It can aid visitor with daily Torah portions by providing audio and video links to shiurim. Visitors can even view the Living Torah video shown in shul every motzoei Shabbos. In addition, chabadtexas.org offers activities and stories for children, and issues of the Chabad Lubavitch Center Newsletter.
Gearing up for a trip? Site visitors can find contact information for Chabad centers and candle-lighting times worldwide.
